In Far From Home: Afghan Women After the Taliban Takeover, TIME looks at refugees one year after the fall of Kabul. The profiles are set in Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States, where the women are attempting to build new lives abroad.
The project was produced in collaboration with Rukhshana Media, an Afghan organization led by women.
