Zahra Ahmad

Zahra Ahmad is an Iraqi-Irani journalist who was born in Sulaymaniyah Iraqi Kurdistan but raised in the United States. She currently reports on city business and community for The Flint Journal in Flint, Michigan. Zahra graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and biology. She's formally reported for Science Magazine in Washington D.C and the Arizona Republic in Phoenix. Her career in journalism began as editor-in-chief of her high school paper The Ramparts and led to reporting for CM-Life. Reporting in Flint, Zahra's covered homelessness, fraud, the Flint Water Crisis, a massive pipe replacement initiative and redevelopment.
