Woo-ram Hong

Woo-ram Hong is a reporter for the Korea Center for Investigative Journalism (KCIJ)-Newstapa.
He began his career as a reporter in 2013, working at News1 and Channel A before joining KCIJ-Newstapa in 2018. To date, he has covered the education, healthcare, and pharmaceutical sectors.
He has collaborated with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and its international partners on cross-border investigative projects, such as the Implant Files, FinCEN Files, and the Pandora Papers.
He received the Korean Broadcast Journalist of the Year Award in 2018, for the "The Secret of Fake Science Factory" project, and the Reporter of the Month Award in December 2020 for reporting on illegal manufacturing practices by Korean breast-implant companies.
