Vidya Krishnan

Vidya Krishnan has been reporting on health and science in India for nearly 20 years. She completed her master's at the School of Oriental and African Studies London University in 2011. After returning to India, she reported for several Indian news dailies before going on to head the health desk at The Hindu, a news daily in 2018.

These days, she contributes to Caravan Magazine and The Atlantic on a range of social justice issues, including the Rohingya genocide, medical aspects of the conflicts in Assam and Kashmir, and, of course, tuberculosis.

In 2021, she was awarded the Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University.
