Paolo Pellegrin

Paolo Pellegrin is a photographer and a member of Magnum Photos, an international photography collective.
Pellegrin studied photography at the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia in Rome and has won 10 World Press Photo awards, a Leica Medal of Excellence, the W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography, the Hansel-Mieth Prize, and the Robert Capa Gold Medal Award.
His work for The New York Times Magazine has taken him to Albania, Darfur, Egypt, Gaza, Greece, Guantánamo Bay, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Kurdistan, Lebanon, Libya, the Mediterranean Sea, Tunisia, and Turkey. His work has appeared in the magazine since 1997.
