Nate Hegyi


Nate Hegyi is a reporter for the Mountain West News Bureau, a consortium of NPR member stations covering the region, based at KUER in Salt Lake City. He covers federal land management agencies, indigenous issues, and the environment. He received a master's in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Journalism from the University of Montana and has previously worked as a reporter for Yellowstone Public Radio and Montana Public Radio.

When he's not doing radio, he likes to run, fish and listen to Bruce Springsteen tapes in his '99 Toyota Tacoma.
