Monika Mondal

Monika Mondal is an independent Indian journalist whose work focuses on three P's: people, planet, and progress.
Her bylines have appeared in Indian and global media outlets, including The Guardian, Al Jazeera, The Washington Post, Undark, The Caravan, Livemint, Mongabay, The Third Pole, and others.
Mondal has been a fellow with the Earth Journalism Network and South Asia Speaks mentorship program. As an in-person reporting fellow from Climate Tracker, she covered the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).
She continues to focus on discussions around climate change and environmental negotiations.
