Micah Fink

Micah Fink, the founder of Common Good Productions, is an award-winning producer, director, and writer specializing in international affairs, public health, science, and the environment. He is also on the faculty at the Graduate Program in Social Documentary at the School Of Visual Arts in New York City.

His documentary projects include DROP TO ZERO which tells the story of the global effort to eradicate polio; BEYOND BORDERS: Undocumented Mexican Americans, which aired on PBS; THE ABOMINABLE CRIME, which aired on PBS and screened at dozens of festivals around the world, winning an Amnesty International Human Rights Award and four best documentary awards; and MANN VS. FORD, which can be seen on HBO and tells the story of a Native American community living on a toxic waste dump and their legal battle against the Ford Motor Company.

Micah learned the ropes of documentary production as an associate producer/researcher on five investigative films for Frontline and the Emmy nominated series Frontier House Series for PBS.  He was a field producer for ABC News Dupont Award winning series HOPKINS 24/7. He also produced 5 films for the PBS International Affairs series Wide Angle, including films about HIV/AIDS and the Angolan military, the revival of Japanese militarism, and the spread of the deadly avian flu virus in Vietnam. He has also produced films for CNN, National Geographic Explorer, National Geographic Wild, and The Teaching Channel. He worked with Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project for four years, serving as co-executive producer in 2015 and 2016, and as an editorial producer for the World Science Festival in 2019 and 2020.
