Meg Bernhard is a freelance essayist and journalist from inland southern California. She is interested in the human side of the climate and the environment.
Her writing can be found in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Harper’s, n+1, 1843 magazine, the Virginia Quarterly Review, Hazlitt, High Country News, the Paris Review, and the London Review of Books, among other media outlets.
Her first book, Wine, an examination of the power structures bound up in winemaking and consumption, was published in 2023.
