Marcelo Jauregui-Volpe

Marcelo Jauregui-Volpe is a bilingual Mexican American multimedia journalist and documentary producer. He graduated with honors from Pennsylvania’s Haverford College, with a bachelor's in 2018 and majoring in comparative literature and minoring in visual studies.
In summer 2018, he co-produced Dizhsa Nabani, a documentary web series focusing on language and identity in a Zapotec community in Oaxaca, Mexico. He has also collaborated on community media initiatives with the Scribe Video Center and the Prometheus Radio Project in Philadelphia.
As a freelance writer and video editor, he has collaborated with BRIC TV, La Cinematográfica, and NTN24.
Currently, he works as a video producer for the Spanish-language news show Efecto Naím. He has lived, traveled, and worked in Mexico and Spain, pursuing his interest in Latin American culture and the Spanish language.
He began working with Hola Cultura as an editorial intern in fall 2020 and became a fellow in January 2021.
