Kate Cough

Kate Cough covers energy and the environment as a 2022 Report for America corps member, and she writes for and produces The Climate Monitor, a weekly email newsletter that covers climate-, environment-, and energy-related news in Maine.
Cough was previously a reporter for The Ellsworth American before becoming the inaugural digital media strategist for The Ellsworth American and Mount Desert Islander.
She graduated with honors from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and graduated magna cum laude from Bryn Mawr College.
