Kal Berjikian

Kal Berjikian is a freelance multimedia journalist currently based in Paris. Berjikian works across various digital teams at France 24 and produces reports for young audiences at ENTR and ChatEurope.
They have previously worked as a TV journalist for Euronews in Lyon and as a freelance digital producer for CGTN Europe in London.
Berjikian earned two master’s degrees: one in Middle East politics from SOAS University of London, and another in news journalism from Cardiff University.
Before moving to Europe, they lived in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh after the 2016 war, where they volunteered with the HALO Trust and the United Nations Development Programme.
