Henry Owino is a science writer and journalist. He recently joined InfoNile, a cross-border group of geojournalists with a mission to uncover critical stories on water issues in the Nile River Basin through data-based multimedia storytelling.
As a science writer, reporter, and content developer, Owino previously worked with Nation Media Group as a television reporter and cameraman. He also worked in other private video production houses for media outlets as a production director.
Owino is an investigative science journalist as well as a Solution Journalism Specialist, having successfully completed a nine-month training and internship at Science Africa for the U.S.-based Solution Journalism Network. Currently, he handles mentorship programs for Science Africa trainees and interns.
Owino holds a BA in Communications from Daystar University-Kenya. He is the Kenya Correspondents Association (KCA), Nairobi Branch team leader.
