Due to concerns about journalists' safety, this grantee is not using his official name in Pulitzer Center-supported reporting.

Han is a computer scientist and a social entrepreneur. He works at the intersection of data science, Internet safety, social media, and journalism. He builds technologies that help journalists and researchers to analyze complex social media data, and to identify suspicious behaviors, such as coordinated influence operations. One of his projects is Information Tracer, an advanced social listening tool. 

Han previously worked for anti-abuse teams at Twitter, Google, and Amazon. He obtained a master’s degree in computer science from Rice University and a doctorate in data science from New York University.
