Gene Russo

Gene Russo has been a science journalist and editor for over 25 years. He's currently the editor of Front Matter, the science journalism section at the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Previously, he was the science careers editor at Nature

Russo earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied English, biology, and philosophy. He holds master’s degrees in environmental policy and history and philosophy of science from the University of Maryland.
