Gabrielle Names
REPORTING FELLOW
Gabrielle Names is a senior at The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. She is a double major in Biology and French. Her interest in Conservation Biology and island dynamics prompted her to work in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park for two summers, the first as an Interpretive Ranger with the National Park Service and the second as a researcher with the US Geological Survey. Her passion for the French culture and language led her to study abroad in Montpellier, France during her junior year, where she took classes in French culture and Biology. After completing her undergraduate studies this May, Gabrielle plans to begin graduate studies in Ecology in Paris, France in fall 2012. She would like to pursue a career in applied Conservation Biology research, perhaps as a civil servant with the National Park Service.
