Gabriela Ramirez is an investigative and multimedia journalist based in Berlin. She works across borders to tell deeply reported, compelling stories that spotlight underrepresented communities.
From Venezuela’s political crisis to border violence in Europe and the effects of climate change on coastal populations, her work combines data-driven analysis with intimate personal narratives, often through a gender lens.
Her most recent cross-border investigation uncovered over 1,000 graves of migrants buried without names across Europe and was published in more than 40 media outlets.
Ramirez’s reporting has received several international recognitions, including the Lorenzo Natali Prize for Feature Journalism, the Special Award of the European Press Prize 2024, and the Fetisov Journalism Award for Contribution to Civil Rights. Her work has also been recognized as a finalist for the True Story Award and the One World Media Award.
Ramirez holds a master’s degree in interactive journalism and currently serves as multimedia editor at Unbias The News, a global cross-border newsroom.
