Christian Elliott

Christian Elliott is a freelance multimedia science and environmental reporter, telling the stories of researchers working to better understand our changing world. He has written for National Geographic, Science, Undark, Hakai, Scientific American, and Smithsonian magazine, among other outlets.
In 2022, he was a Pulitzer Center Climate Science Reporting Fellow.
His reporting supported by the Pulitzer Center has taken him around the world—from coastal Alaska to Chilean Patagonia.
Elliott is also a producer for NASA's flagship podcast, Curious Universe. His work on the show won two 2024 Webby awards in the science podcast category.
He has a master's degree in science journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School. He got his start in audio production in public radio as an intern for WBEZ in Chicago and his hometown station, WVIK in Rock Island, Illinois
