Chiara Goia is a documentary and fine art photographer and her work has appeared on numerous publications including The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Time, the Wall Street Journal, GEO, and many others.
Born and raised in Italy, Chiara graduated with a degree in communication and political science in Milan. In 2007 she attended the one-year certificate program in documentary photography at the International Center of Photography in New York.
In 2008 she was selected for Reflexions Masterclass: a long-term seminar held by Giorgia Fiorio and Gabriel Bauret, an experience which has granted her the opportunity to develop several bodies of work.
She is a winner of the Sony World Photography Award in Arts and Entertainment, the Canon prize for emerging photographers and she was named as one of the PDN's 30.
