Anumeha Yadav

Anumeha Yadav is an independent journalist reporting on the struggles of working-class and economically disadvantaged communities in India. Her reporting focuses on questions related to labor and land rights, and social welfare, often highlighting how government initiatives impact rural and marginalized groups.

Yadav has investigated subjects such as the Aadhaar biometric system’s effects on social welfare programs, workplace rights, access to food and health care in conflict zones.

She has worked as a reporter for national dailies such as The Hindu, The Indian Express, Scroll and has published stories in The Guardian, Al-Jazeera, HuffPost, among others.

She is the author of Our Rice Tastes of Spring (Westland, 2025), a graphic book on food colonialism, and has contributed to the books Dissent On Aadhaar: Big Data Meets Big Brother and Lives of Data: Essays on Computational Cultures from India.
