Marina Milad

Marina Milad is an award-winning digital journalist and media consultant with more than 11 years of experience.
Milad is the founder of Story Time, a media content production and training agency. She is the author of a two-part digital storytelling guide and an experienced media trainer working with leading local and international organizations.
She's currently a lecturer on multimedia production and digital storytelling at the British University in Egypt, Cairo University, and Ahram Canadian University.
Milad won a Samir Kassir Award (Investigation Category) 2025, an International Center for Journalists Award 2023, and a Heikal Award for Arabic Journalism 2018. She was nominated for a True Story International Award 2023, an Arab Journalism Award 2021, and a European Union Award 2022/2024.
Milad holds a postgraduate certificate in journalism innovation and leadership from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). She is a member of the EU Media Connect initiative (EU Neighbours South / EU Med Bridge) since 2025.
She has collaborated as a freelance video journalist with Deutsche Welle (DW) and the Associated Press (AP).
Milad started her journalism career in 2013 at Al-Masry Al-Youm and Rose Al-Youssef, later transitioning to digital media, working with Dot Masr, Al-Tahrir, and Masrawy.
