Pulitzer Center grantee Julia Rendleman will visit the University of Richmond to teach a photography master class for the Journalism Across Media course.

On Monday, February 16, 2025, Rendleman will instruct the class on theoretical aspects of photography, and on Wednesday, February 18, she will teach the technical aspects of the craft. Rendleman will return later in the semester to review students' final photography portfolios and provide feedback on their projects.

Rendleman is a photojournalist and journalism professor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Her photography has focused on history, community, human health, and the environment.

She is a multiple Pulitzer Center grantee whose work includes a video story about the effects global economics have on Jamaican farmers, and a photo essay about Bhutanese refugees living in Pittsburgh and in Nepal.
