Africa Education Program
Through the Africa Education Program, teachers and students interact with information in formats that support the learning and engagement of the education community.
This program aligns with the education sector strategies of countries in Africa, which aim to integrate environmental issues into their school curriculum. It also focuses on the educational mission of the Pulitzer Center, which is to cultivate a more curious, informed, and engaged public by exposing students and teachers to underreported issues and the journalists who cover them.
The main pillar of the program is the teachers' network, which brings together over 150 teachers who share Pulitzer Center-supported articles on a daily basis in their schools and communities.
The other pillar of this program is to establish partnerships with a variety of institutions to encourage innovation and creativity in the way information published by Pulitzer Center grantees and fellows is passed on, especially to younger audiences.
