See stirring video documentaries from Project:Report finalists, meet the filmmakers and representatives from YouTube and the Pulitzer Center, find out who wins the $10,000 Project: Report Pulitzer Center fellowship, and learn about upcoming Pulitzer Center opportunities!
This event is the culmination of a three-round contest where non-professional, aspiring journalists competed to produce fresh and compelling short documentaries on untold stories not usually covered by traditional media. In each round, Pulitzer Center-sponsored reporters provided aspirational videos and additional tips explaining how they approached their stories.
Assignments for the three rounds included reporting on ordinary people making extraodinary differences in their communities and local stories with global implications. The finalists' work range from the story of an Iraqi expat art teacher to the country's largest Immigration and Customs raid in Iowa. You can read more about the 10 semi-finalists and 5 finalists at our NewsPoints blog.
Evening event co-sponsored by YouTube, the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and the American University School of Communication
