Please join us for a talk on Wednesday, March 31, at 5:00pm EDT with Kalpana Jain, an award-winning journalist, author, and Pulitzer Center grantee. This webinar is presented by the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and the Pulitzer Center.

Jain, who has spent more than 20 years covering public health for The Times of India, will discuss the crucial role of media during the pandemic and the challenges of providing balanced and accurate health coverage. Jain currently oversees religion coverage as the senior ethics and religion editor at The Conversation US, a global news website that has partnerships with the Associated Press and Religion News Service. Jain’s Pulitzer Center-supported reporting project, Hindu Nationalism, Its Toll, and India's Inter-Faith Resilience, investigates Hindu nationalism through the lives of women and millennials.

The University of Pennsylvania is a member of the Pulitzer Center’s Campus Consortium, which connects journalism supported by the Center directly with campus communities.
