An Editor's Guide to AI, With Pulitzer Center and Africa Check
Event Date:
June 10, 2025 | 11:00 AM TO 12:30 PM EDT
A workshop organized by the Pulitzer Center and Africa Check—a nonprofit, fact-checking group—will identify different types of AI stories and explore what distinguishes the best media coverage of artificial intelligence.
The virtual event, part of the Pulitzer Center's AI Spotlight Series, is set for June 10, 2025, 11am-12:30pm Eastern. It is geared toward editors in North America, South America, Africa, and Europe, anyone in charge of directing coverage, commissioning stories, or packaging and producing them.
The participants will include Washington Post technology editor Tom Simonite and Bina Venkataraman, the Post's editor-at-large for opinion strategy and innovation and the inaugural Columnist of the Future.
To allow maximum interaction between instructors and trainees, the maximum number of trainees will be capped to 35-40 journalists. Click here to apply. The deadline is May 15, 2025.
