The DRC Climate and Labor Symposium will explore the impacts of climate change on work in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and intends to raise the awareness of key resources in the education, communication, and media sectors. 

The hybrid (virtual and in-person) event will be held at Musée National de la RDC in Kinshasa on February 8, 2023.

It is divided into three panels: 

  1. A keynote that will introduce the debate on the impacts of climate change on work in the DRC
  2. An education session that aims to lay the groundwork for the integration of climate change concepts into the DRC's schools
  3. An outreach session to raise the awareness of journalists, civil society organizations, and journalism students on the impact of climate change on work

A special session will be organized with journalists to promote the climate and labor stories grant.
