Climate Impacts in Costa Rica: Amy McDermott at University of Richmond

Grantee Amy McDermott will visit the University of Richmond during its International Education Week spotlighting Costa Rica. 

McDermott will present on “Climate Impacts in Costa Rica: From Study Abroad to Field Reporting” and will visit classes to talk with students about her reporting on rainforest epiphytes.

McDermott is a reporter at "Front Matter," the science journalism section of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. She covers new and emerging trends in scientific research, in particular biology and medicine. Her background spans ecology and journalism, and her work has appeared in Science, Discover, Salon, and The Atlantic, among others.
