The Pulitzer Center and the University of Chicago welcome award-winning journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones on Monday, October 7, 2019, for a conversation on The 1619 Project, providing insight on the vision behind The New York Times initiative and the goals moving forward.

Hannah-Jones wrote the lead article in the special New York Times Magazine issue for The 1619 Project. She is the recipient of a MacArthur Grant, a National Magazine Award, a Peabody Award, and a Polk Award.
