Are you interested in reporting on the impacts of artificial intelligence? Would you like to receive a 10-month Fellowship that includes financial support for your reporting project, a community of peers, mentorship, and training opportunities?
That is what we are offering with our AI Accountability Fellowships. The Fellowship is part of the Pulitzer Center’s AI Accountability Network.
Join us on June 11, 2026, to learn more about joining the fifth (2026-2027) cohort of our AI Accountability Fellowships.
At this virtual meeting, Pulitzer Center AI Network Manager Joanna S. Kao will be joined by AI Engagement Manager Maria Karienova and 2025 AI Accountability Fellow Si Err Yap to discuss the current call for proposals as well as to answer questions about the Fellowship experience. The call for proposals is open until July 12, 2026.
The Pulitzer Center is recruiting eight to 10 journalists from around the world to report on the impacts of algorithmic and automated systems in their communities.
We encourage journalists from the Global South and from communities that are underrepresented in the media to apply.
