Jillian Kennan reported from Niger on the phenomenon of palais, or violent youth gangs. Palais are made up of young people often with no jobs, education, or opportunities. Baho, one of the original members of a palais, has turned away from violence and wants to help others do the same. But Boko Haram is nearby and is ready to recruit for terrorist activities.
