Jack Losh, a freelance journalist and Pulitzer Center grantee, traveled to the Central African Republic to report on the country's civil war. Fighting between armed groups across this former French colony has killed thousands of people and displaced more than a million. Despite numerous atrocities, the crisis remains under-reported, and its humanitarian response severely under-funded. In this video, Losh describes the month-long assignment that he hopes may act as "some kind of conscience" for policy-makers.
