Jon Sawyer and Nathalie Applewhite celebrated LiveHopeLove.com at the 2009 Webby Awards Gala in New York City on June 8 and 9.

LiveHopeLove.com won the 2009 People's Voice Award for the Art category, was a finalist in the Best Use of Photography category, and was an Officlal Honoree in the Best Visual Design - Aesthetic category. The site is part of the Pulitzer Center's Hope: Living and Loving with HIV in Jamaica a multi-media reporting project, which includes an extended essay by Kwame Dawes for The Virginia Quarterly Review, two short documentaries for the public-television program Foreign Exchange, a collection of poetry inspired by his reporting, photography by Joshua Cogan, and a performance of the poems set to music by composer Kevin Simmonds.

LiveHopeLove.com is the interactive web presentation designed by bluecadet interactive that synthesizes audio and text versions of the poems, the Foreign Exchange videos, additional video interviews, the music, and photography produced by the Pulitzer Center.

The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoringexcellence on the Internet. Of the nearly 10,000 entries submitted to the 13th Annual Webby Awards, fewer than 15% were distinguished as an Official Honoree. This honor signifies an outstanding caliber of work.
