Pierce “Sparni” Sparnroft, a promising, young jazz vibraphonist, prepares for a culminating concert and a career on stage—all while grappling with mental illness. Sparni was produced by 2024 Columbia University Reporting Fellows Ania Gruszczyńska and Nathan Siegelaub.
