In the DRC, non-timber forest products are becoming increasingly rare, and the risk of their disappearance high as a result of human pressure on the forest.

With the support of Rainforest Journalism Fund Congo Basin and Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Hervé Mukulu and his colleagues show us the penchant of some inhabitants of Kinshasa, Kisangani, Beni, Butembo, and Bunia, for these products and the mechanisms for their preservation.
