Our project demonstrates the consequences of the decline in family farmland.
In Ruvubu Park, farmers cultivate beyond the park's buffer zone and boundaries. As a result, animals are invading their fields and homes. While farmers are demanding compensation, the director of the Burundian Office for the Protection of the Environment is finding it difficult to set up the compensation fund.
