University Students in Rabat Speak Out on English Studies and Islamic Identity

Conversing with students at Mohammed V University in Rabat provided insight into understanding how the youth are transforming English studies into their Moroccan identity. While multiculturalism may be ingrained in the foundations of Moroccan identity, English may not be seen as an agent of modernity, but rather an inevitable addition that authentically speaks to “being Moroccan.” This video includes discussions with graduate students of English linguistics.
