Through in-depth and intimate conversations, the film reaches beyond the tropes of the Bronx to tell of how the students and instructors at Rocking the Boat, a youth development program based along the banks of the Bronx River, see themselves: as a proud family gathering in an urban oasis where they build boats, sail across the Manhattan skyline, and discover a deep appreciation for the natural resources in their backyard.
