Palm oil production is at the center of Borneo's deforestation. Oil palm plantations in Indonesia alone average about 300,000 hectares—or an area about half the size of Delaware, each year. It is estimated that the country has lost 31 million hectares of forests since 1990. This video details the issues of climate change and limiting natural resources as a direct result of this deforestation.
