Reporter Rich Lord and photographer Larry Roberts discuss their work for the Pittsburg Post-Gazette series "The Handshake and the Fists."

Lord began his reporting in the region during the first Gulf War. Roberts started working in Israel during the late 1970's, when he met Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

Returning to Israel on the 20th anniversary of Rabin's death, they interview people, many of whom have roots in Pittsburgh, "who sit on all sides of the cultural divide, and in fact the very real wall that now runs through the Holy Land."
