The IDN Times' Forestalk Podcast is a special coverage program for March 2021, commemorating World Wildlife Day on March 3 and International Day of Forests on March 21. The chat program, which is presented every Thursday, talks about tropical rainforests in Pekalongan, Central Java, with all of the community and conservation measures so that biodiversity is always maintained. The fourth or final episode presents Sukirno, a resident living in the vicinity of the forest. Sukirno, or familiarly called Pak Caus, talks about the usefulness of the tropical rainforest, which is still preserved to this day. One of the benefits of environmental services is the preservation of water, which can be used to generate electricity for local residents. They are able to be independent and empowered with new and renewable energy. Millennials and Gen-Z must pay attention to be more concerned about the environment. If not us, who else will care? Watch the chat at 20.00 WIB on YouTube, Instagram (IGTv), and Spotify IDN Times accounts. Don't miss it!
