After several days of deadly clashes in Tahrir Square, Egyptians are preparing for parliamentary elections. At least 33 civilians have been killed since the clashes first started and thousands have been injured, but despite the violence, Egyptians will take part on the first round of a three-round election cycle for the country's People's Assembly, the lower house. A second round of elections will follow for the upper house.
