Can Buddhist Values Offer Non-Religious China a Greener Path?

China surprised the world by agreeing to a strong climate deal with the United States when President Obama visited Beijing in early November. Equally surprising, and perhaps related, the Chinese government is invoking Buddhist and other traditional cultural values in its response to the country's environmental challenges.
