Journalist and author Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson is a journalist and novelist whose stories on conflict have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Harper's, Vanity Fair, Men's Journal and other publications. He has co-authored two books with his brother and fellow reporter Jon Lee Anderson. His piece "Fractured Lands," which chronicled the last two and a half decades in the Middle East through the lives of six people, appeared in the August 14, 2016 issue of The New York Times Magazine.

"I think I'm done with war, and it's not just a safety-danger thing. It's kind of a moral exhaustion thing."
