Ana Rocío Álvarez Bríñez

Ana is a Puerto Rican graduate student at American University in Washington, D.C., pursuing a degree in journalism and public affairs with a specialization in investigative journalism. Ana is a part of the practicum course at The Washington Post where she contributes to ongoing reporting done by the newspaper’s investigative team.
Ana graduated in May 2020 from the University of Puerto Rico Río Piedras campus with a double major in information and journalism and public relations and advertising. Ana is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and has served as the vice president of her campus' chapter.
