While most international media outlets are focusing on the heavy flow of Ukrainian refugees into Poland, a growing number are seeking refuge in neighboring Romania and Moldova, much smaller countries that have already seen hundreds of thousands of people cross the borders.
Some women are leaving their kids with family members or in foster care and returning to the front lines to rejoin the fight against the invaders.
