An alumna of the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Carr is a former staffer at Consumer Reports and has bylines in numerous other publications, including The New York Times, The Guardian, Sapiens, Medscape, Texas Monthly, and 5280, among others.
