Suci Lestari Yuana is an assistant professor in the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, and a researcher affiliated with the Center for Digital Society (CfDS) UGM. She completed her PhD in 2024 and works at the intersection of platform labour, algorithmic governance, AI colonialism, and Global South political economy. Her recent research spans AI colonialism in creative platform labour, particularly among Indonesia's gig workers; grassroots intermediaries in Indonesia's circular economy transition; and deliberative governance gaps in Global South smart cities. Beyond academic publishing, she has contributed reference entries on Global South and Global North political economy to a circular economy dictionary, and writes creatively under the pen name Ree-Yie, including a self-published multilingual poetry collection.
