Sofia Bouderbala

Sofia Bouderbala has been a French journalist at the international news agency Agence France-Presse since 1999.
She covered Africa for about 10 years, including four years as bureau chief in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (2004-2008), covering primarily the DRC and the Great Lakes region. Bouderbala was also chief Africa editor (2012-2015).
Since 2021, she has developed an expertise on forests and forestry related to environmental issues (including climate change, land use, food systems, forests, and global markets).
