Sami Rose Smith

Sami Smith is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism at California State University-Northridge after transferring from Glendale Community College.
She has found success in many aspects of journalism with work published in Glendale Community College's newspaper, El Vaquero, and an internship working with NFL Media in post-production.
Her interests in gender equality and professional sports converged when she found that in the history of Formula One, there had only been two women to start a race. She is passionate about raising awareness about the misleading efforts many professional sports leagues are making to create an equal competitive environment for both men and women.
